Glimcher malls' Earning for Learning school fundraising campaign is in full swing, so be sure to show your mall receipts at customer service to turn your dollars spent into points for your school! See our Earning for Learning link for full details and your local mall's campaign dates.
And since reports and economists tell us that families are shopping later and more cost effectively this year for back-to-school, here are some of the strategies you told us you use to help conquer your shopping list:
- I have been buying a few things for summer that are on sale. Then, I will take my second grader shopping first. Then, when he starts school, I will take my kindergartener shopping. That way, it gives me one on one time with each.
-Parkersburg, WV
- We look for the stores' online coupons and print them whenever we can. It really does add up.
-Dayton, OH
- We generally get one or two back-to-school outfits made up of the essentials (jeans and t-shirts), then wait to see what everyone else is wearing. This saves on purchasing a ton of clothes that are suddenly uncool the second week of school!
-Stockton, CA
- We set a budget, then bring just cash. When it's gone, it's gone.
-Lancaster, OH
- We shop during the week. Discounts are often bigger, and reward points sometimes double early in the week since those are the stores' slow days.
-Seattle, WA
