Official Rules & Regulations

v      Shoppers must present receipts to Guest Services from any store or restaurant at WestShore Plaza. Qualifying receipts are on purchases made from 08/01/2008 – 09/30/2008 ONLY, and MUST BE FROM a retailer at WestShore Plaza.

v      Mondays & Tuesdays are Double Point Days.  Purchases made on Mondays & Tuesdays qualify for Double Points.  Promotional advertising or bonus points are NEVER eligible for double points unless otherwise stated on the advertising.   Receipts from other days submitted on a Monday or Tuesday do NOT qualify for double points.  (Example:  A customer can turn in a receipt on Friday that is from a purchase made on Monday and earn double points.  A customer CANNOT earn double points for a receipt turned in on Monday that is from a purchase made on Saturday.) 

v      Receipts may only be used one time and will be marked when presented to Guest Services.  The receipt must be the original copy.  All receipts MUST be redeemed by 9:00 pm on September 30, 2008.  All receipts are subject to approval by Mall Management.  The following will not be accepted:  duplicate receipts, receipts from stores or restaurants not associated with WestShore Plaza, credit card purchases/statements, internet purchases, bus passes, faxes, stroller rental and photo copies.

v      Store employees may not request, or copy, receipts from store customers in order to redeem them for points.  Additionally, stores (or store employees) may not hold receipts to give to schools to redeem for points.  Solicitation of stores to hold receipts for schools is also prohibited. 

v      Each dollar spent equals 1 point.  Anything less than $.50 will be rounded down to the nearest dollar, and anything equal to or greater than $.50 will be rounded up to the nearest dollar (Ex. $10.45 = 10 points and $10.56 = 11 points).  Double points will be given if the purchase was made on a Monday or Tuesday, and the receipt indicates as such. 

v      Any public or private K-12, elementary, middle, or high school in the state of Florida is eligible to participate.  Schools do not have to be Pinellas, Pasco, or Hillsborough County but the list at Guest Services will only show the most commonly named schools in these counties.  Pre-schools, colleges and other post-high school institutions are not eligible.    The highest point per student ratio will determine the winning schools.  The total number of points for each school is divided by the number of students enrolled in the school, and all schools regardless of size will start with a minimum student enrollment of 400.  Enrollment numbers will be provided by the County School Board or a School Official.   

v      The in-mall tote board and mall website, www.westshoreplaza.com, will be updated weekly with the leading schools names according to POINTS ONLY.   Point totals will NOT be given to schools or participants and will not be displayed on the EFL tote board or in Center Court or on the mall website.  Point per student ratio will not be calculated until after the promotion has ended on September 30, 2008.  The in-mall tote board and mall website will not be updated again until the 5 winning schools have been notified. 

v      At the end of the promotion, the top 5 schools with the highest point per student ratio will win a total of $20,000 in  cash prizes: 1^st $10,000; 2^nd $5,000; 3^rd $2,500; 4^th $1,500 and 5^th $1,000. Winning schools will be notified via phone following the conclusion of the promotion and the confirmation of official results.

v      WestShore Plaza Management Office will make the final decision regarding any dispute.

v      WestShore Plaza reserves the right to refuse suspicious or fraudulent receipts or coupons breaking the above rules.

v      WestShore Plaza reserves the right to modify these rules at any time without notice.
